Jason Gentile, CFP®
Director of Financial Planning, Senior Financial Advisor
Director of Financial Planning and Senior Financial Advisor Jason Gentile has been helping clients reach their long-term financial goals for more than 15 years. Mr. Gentile joined Symmetry Partners, Apella Capital’s sister firm, in 2006, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) certification. In addition to his financial planning responsibilities at Apella, Mr. Gentile is a member of the Financial Planning Association and Board. He also has more than eight years of experience in the qualified plans space. Prior to joining Symmetry Partners, Mr. Gentile was employed by Advest, Inc./Merrill Lynch as a Senior Registered Associate. Mr. Gentile currently resides in Hebron, CT with his wife and three sons.
Peter Leppones, CFP®
Peter Leppones, CFP® has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in financial planning and financial protection solutions. Mr. Leppones joined Apella Capital in 2016 and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) certification. Previously, he was employed by Life Plans of New England/GBS as an Area Vice President where he served as a key resource for their marketing initiatives and client onboarding. He also has experience with product selection and case design, as well as substandard underwriting. Mr. Leppones has volunteered his time with a variety of local organizations, including Cub Scouts, Southington Youth Lacrosse, and Bread for Life, a local soup kitchen. He holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Central Connecticut State University and currently resides in Southington, CT with his wife, son and daughter.
James P. Scanlan, CFP®
Director of Business Development & Supervision, Senior Financial Advisor
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, James P. Scanlan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Apella Capital, LLC. In his current capacity, Mr. Scanlan directs nationwide business development efforts and provides managerial oversight across offices. Prior to joining Apella, he was the Director and Planning Officer at Weston Financial Group, Inc., a large RIA headquartered in Wellesley, MA. Mr. Scanlan specializes in retirement plan management and asset management, as well as estate planning for business owners, high net worth individuals and successful professionals.
Mr. Scanlan was formerly involved with a number of civic organizations, including the Providence Athenaeum Investment Committee. He also served as a board member of the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation and on the Wannamoisett Country Club Board of Governors. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Stonehill College in Easton, MA, where he previously served as a member of the Alumni Council.
Connor S. Maniatty
Connor Maniatty joined the firm in 2014. In his role as Senior Associate, Connor provides financial planning and technology support to the firm’s financial advisors. He received his B.S. in Finance from the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University, and he currently resides in Avon, CT.
In his role as Paraplanner, Leland Bergen partners with Apella Capital’s financial advisors to prepare financial analyses and comprehensive financial plans. He also provides client service and client relationship management support.
Mr. Bergen holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Fairfield University. He currently resides in Bloomfield, CT.
Meghan Martin Gormley
Operations and Client Relationship Group Supervisor
Meghan Martin Gormley provides operational and client relationship support to Apella Capital’s team of financial advisors. She believes in providing a superior customer service experience to every client. In her last role, Ms. Gormley was employed by Symmetry Partners, Apella’s sister firm, as the Director of Operations. During her 14 years at Symmetry, Ms. Gormley gained experience with billing, trading and customer service. She stepped down from her position at the firm in 2014 to raise her two daughters.
Ms. Gormley lives in West Hartford, CT with her husband and two daughters, Hayden and Winnie.
Senior Client Relationship Specialist
Jennifer Biamonte provides client relationship support to Apella Capital’s team of financial advisors. She has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and has worked with individual investors, small businesses and endowment plans. Prior to joining Apella, Ms. Biamonte was employed by the Chief Investment Officer at the University of Connecticut Foundation to assist with investment committees and hedge fund manager due diligence. She was awarded the Excellence in Fundraising Award for her work with the University of Connecticut’s Newtown, CT scholarship fund.
Ms. Biamonte lives in Storrs, CT with her three children.
Client Relationship Specialist
Christopher Longo provides client relationship, operational and systems support to Apella Capital’s growing network of financial advisors. In his previous role as Marketing Specialist for Symmetry Partners, LLC, Apella Capital’s sister company, Mr. Longo focused on digital communications, web administration and CRM implementation. He holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Connecticut and currently resides in Glastonbury, CT.
Client Relationship Specialist
Shawn O’Sullivan first joined Apella Capital’s sister firm, Symmetry Partners, LLC, as an intern in 2016. In the spring of 2017, Mr. O’Sullivan transitioned into the role of Client Relationship Specialist as a full-time employee. In his current role, he serves as a resource to Apella’s clients in multiple capacities, including assisting in the financial planning process and offering client relationship and operational support. Additionally, Mr. O’Sullivan supports Apella’s growing team of advisors to ensure that the needs of clients are met on a daily basis.
Mr. O’Sullivan graduated from The University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He grew up in southern Connecticut and currently resides in New Haven County.
